Around Altona Community Newspaper started up in February 2007 as initiative of the Altona Mens Shed Inc.

This exciting Local Paper plans to deliver in simple black and white format, articles of interest to members of the Altona Community.

Emphasis will be on local content. Articles of interest will be most welcome.

You will find an original cartoon and poem from a local resident and our fantastic logo was also designed by a local graphic designer and writer.

To view our Current Issue just click on the link at the top right hand side of our website. There are several controls there to zoom in or zoom out and navigate for your reading convenience.

We have been receiving content from local clubs, interest groups, individuals and children. From this content we have created a great community voice. Why not participate.

Around Altona needs your help!

This can be in many forms, you may choose to practice your journalism skills, or write an article for your local group. You may wish to write a letter to the Editor or assist by contributing Art or Cartoons, perhaps volunteering to deliver the Newspaper to houses in your area. You may even know a person of note who might inspire an interesting article. Alternatively you may be able to become a sponsor and recieve recognition for helping this exciting project.

We are constantly looking for Advertisers who may wish to sponsor columns or simply place advertisements promoting their products and services in the various editions. We are happy to receive local Business Cards, which we will include on the website as a community service.
